Mark's expertise spans many sectors, including higher education, nonprofit organizations, trade associations, government, corporate and print media. Across these industries, Mark has been responsible for external and internal communications, marketing, public and community relations, events, advocacy and development. With the UM Foundation, Mark handles donor relations, including special events and donor stewardship activities. A long-time Westerner/Northwesterner, Mark holds a master’s degree from the University of Oregon in public affairs and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drake University. He also attended Princeton on a graduate fellowship in economics journalism.
