Mary currently attends The University of Montana.  She previously attended South Puget Sound Community College and St. Martin’s College in Lacey, Wash. where she studied secondary and special education.  As part of the IT department, Mary supports desktop, laptop and software concerns for the UM Foundation staff. She writes technical and training materials, supports the intranet site and handles IT purchasing.  Mary is continually doing research to help her help the UMF staff work more efficiently with technology.  Prior to joining the Foundation, Mary worked as a special education teacher, retail manager and gemologist.  “I believe in education, and it makes me feel really good that I am able to work for a nonprofit supporting higher education. If I were wealthy all my money would go to scholarships for needy students, no matter their ages. Everyone should have an opportunity to go to college, if this is what they want. The atmosphere of the UM Foundation is a supportive one and I appreciate that a lot!”
