Faculty

The University of Montana educates tomorrow's leaders by giving them access to the finest minds of today. You have the opportunity to support innovative teaching and learning with a gift to support a professor’s research or a unique program led by a faculty member. The UM Foundation accepts both current gifts, for use immediately, and endowed gifts.

Endowed gifts for chairs and professorships give UM a competitive edge in recruiting world-class faculty with specialized expertise to Montana.

One endowed position, the T. Anthony Pollner Distinguished Professorship in the School of Journalism, brings a journalist with a national reputation to UM for a semester each year. The professorship honors the memory of Anthony Pollner, a 1999 graduate of the School of Journalism who died in an accident two years after he graduated.

Another endowed faculty position, the Boone and Crockett Chair of Wildlife Conservation in the College of Forestry and Conservation, was made possible by the generous contributions of members of the Boone and Crockett Club. The chair enhances one of UM’s premier programs, Wildlife Biology.

Help enhance UM’s reputation as a world leader in higher education by making a gift for faculty positions. Contact a development officer in the school or college of your choice to learn more.
