Tom Boone Town and Gown Award
The $1,500 Tom Boone Town and Gown Award was established to recognize faculty members who foster a deeper understanding between the University and Missoula.
The award honors Missoula attorney and longtime University friend Thomas H. Boone. In 1978, Boone and five other local businessmen assisted President Richard Bowers in founding the Excellence Fund Missoula Business Drive. The Missoula Business Drive establishes and strengthens relationships between the University and Missoula businesses, creating a solid foundation for our community. Each year, the drive raises more than $120,000 for the University.
