Kate is a development professional with over 20 years of fundraising experience. She began her career in fundraising as a student phonathon caller at her alma mater, Hobart and William Smith Colleges. From there she enjoyed nearly a decade of political fundraising that took her all over the country, fundraising for political candidate and campaign committees. In 2009, Kate moved to Missoula with her husband Matt, a two-time UM alumnus. She joined the UM Foundation as Director of Development at the College of Forestry and Conservation, where she contributed to UM receiving its largest ever single gift, $24 million from Bill and Carolyn Franke and their family. Since 2014, Kate has served as Senior Director of Development assigned to the College of Business, helping to inspire $30 million in new philanthropic gift commitments during the public phase of Campaign Montana. Kate is passionate about mentorship and career growth for her development colleagues and is honored to be serving as VP of Development.
