Erin began her copywriting and editing career in 2003 and has crafted content for large corporations, grassroots nonprofits and tiny startups alike. She spent eight years in the corporate sphere, first as the lead copywriter for LVMH’s e-commerce site, then as the senior copywriter for Snapfish, HP’s photo sharing division. In 2012, she launched her own one-woman consultancy, Craftwork Creative, to provide copywriting, editing, marketing and content strategy services for a diversity of businesses and organizations.

Erin joined the UM Foundation as the Development Writer in 2023. She is delighted to collaborate with the Development team and create writing that inspires philanthropy in support of UM’s remarkable community of students, faculty and staff. She holds a B.A. in English Literature and French from Seattle University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana, where she also served as editor-in-chief for CutBank literary magazine. Her creative writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and received a 2021 Best American Essays notable mention.

When she’s not pushing words around, Erin likes to hike, camp, float, backpack, hunt, run, and generally be outside in Montana with her two kids.
