Kara joined the UM Foundation in 2024. A seasoned professional in higher education fundraising, she was formerly the Assistant Vice President for Development at the University of Central Florida, in addition to serving in development roles at Florida Hospital Foundation, Stetson University, Rollins College and Pacific Lutheran University. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and organizational communication from Concordia College and an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University.
