From the President and CEO
Dear Friends,
As we close another academic year and reflect on the extraordinary support of our donors, we express our heartfelt gratitude to our giving community. We are grateful for your continued advocacy and investment in UM students, academic excellence and reimagined facilities.
In this issue, we spotlight the inspiring momentum happening at the University, including the summer arrival of UM’s 20th president, Dr. Jeremiah Shinn, as well as new academic leadership on campus. We take you inside our current fundraising campaign to support crucial improvements to UM’s Music Building, seeking to match the 2025 Montana State Legislature's commitment to renovating this treasured home to generations of student musicians and community members of all ages.
Also in this issue, we recognize those who inspire us, including donors who have made a thoughtful and historic facilities gift to UM Athletics, distinguished members of the University community who recently received honorary doctorates, and students like Vivianne Ostheimer and Cadence Hatten, who were named 2026 Harry S. Truman Scholars, one of the most prestigious scholarships in the country.
We hope these stories will move and uplift you, and serve as a powerful reminder of the remarkable difference your generosity makes in the lives of so many at UM. Thank you for all you do.
Sincerely,

Cindy Williams
